When it comes time for me to post sneak peeks it is so hard to choose just one or two! I feel like each session and wedding has it’s own unique story to tell and it is so hard for me to decide with just a few photos how to sum it up when each one holds such significance! I love all of the beautiful details- carefully selected by the bride and groom for their special day, the emotions and the nerves while getting ready, and that moment the couple sees each other while walking down the aisle- and for a moment, they forget all about the nerves and it is just them alone together. The way a father lets go of his little girl and gives her away to the man of her dreams as guests watch proudly from their seats, smiling because there is so much love and happiness before them. I love blogging because it gives me a chance to share just a little bit more of that story, but let’s face it- staying on top of blogging is hard! Milly and Shaun were married last year and when she told me the most wonderful news, that they are expecting their first baby, I was reminded that I hadn’t blogged their gorgeous wedding yet! Milly was one of the most stunning brides I have ever laid eyes on- she had her own beautiful and unique style and I adored her chic hair and gorgeous lace dress. Shaun is such a sweet guy and is totally head over heels for Milly, and she for him. We started off the day getting ready at their hotel, then my second shooter and I headed to the Devon Ravine to do some bridal party photos before their ceremony at the Devonian Botanical Gardens. This was my first time at the gardens and I was blown away at how beautiful it was! The ceremony was intimate and emotional, it touched my heart to witness them saying their vows. After the ceremony we did their formal photos in the gorgeous Japanese Gardens and then headed back to the hotel for the reception. Milly had put so much hard work into every aspect of their wedding and it was so nice to see such creative and personal touches! She made the bouquets, boutonnieres and most of the reception decor, which was absolutely adorable! There was laughter, there were tears and guests danced the night away, all making for an incredibly perfect day.
