Well you guys, this may very well be my longest blog post ever! Partly because this trip is special to me as we were joined by all of our close friends, and partly because Meagan has been so patient while waiting for more sneak peeks (Editing a billion photos, keeping up with social media, blogging, emails and keeping a toddler healthy and happy seriously requires a clone!). I have the most wonderful group of friends I could ever ask for and I am so thankful that Meagan is one of them. I went to school with Kyle, but first met Meagan when she won a photo shoot in one of my giveaways! We had a lot of mutual friends and soon bonded through our group jogs (Okay, walks. Okay… us nearly dying and gasping for air while trying to climb steep river hills.) and ladies nights! I was SO excited when Kyle and Meagan asked me to photograph their wedding in Mexico! Not only are they beautiful, hilarious and a blast to be around, but all of our friends would be coming along too which would make it a pretty memorable experience!
I was so excited when their special day finally arrived. Meg looked like a mermaid and completely took my breath away when I saw her in her gorgeous gown. The bridesmaids also looked stunning in their beachy gowns and flower crowns (I can’t even begin to say how much I LOVE flower crowns!) and all of the bouquets were absolutely stunning. Their ceremony location was one of the most unique and beautiful setups I have ever seen on a resort! The little beach hut let in beautiful diffused light and kept guests cool when the sun was scorching. After a touching ceremony filled with laughter and some tears, it was time for us all to sweat- i mean, have fun taking photos!
From signs to honour loved ones that were looking down from heaven, glitter table cloths to match the mermaid theme or a handmade seashell crown, this couple put so much thought into the details of their day. When it was time to relax and have fun for the evening, we gathered for the reception at a beachfront restaurant. It was almost completely open so it let in the breeze from the ocean keeping everyone cool after a long hot day. After a delicious dinner, everyone danced the night away with the new Mr. and Mrs. Klassen!
Thank you so much Meg and Kyle for choosing me to capture your beautiful day! I hope you love this sneak peek! XO
