Jaelyn & mark- drayton valley wedding photographer

When I met Jaelyn and Mark I instantly clicked with them. They were so genuine and sweet- the kind of people you feel like you have known forever and that make you feel so comfortable! They were even thoughtful enough to supply us with  golf carts to ride around on for the day (Jaelyn likes to joke about Mark’s spur of the moment auction purchases, and I can relate, my husband is a kijiji addict who always has his eye out for the next sweet deal)! When I met with the bride at their home the morning of the wedding, she was calm and was glowing with happiness! Her beautiful face literally was lit up with the biggest smiles all morning, their special day had finally arrived! Her and Mark had worked so hard in the months leading up to their wedding to clear the trees on their property and get it ready for their ceremony! They decorated with handmade signs, flower planter boxes and had a nice refreshment station for their guests to enjoy pink lemonade, water, champagne and of course- some juice boxes for the kids!It was a laid back, relaxed kind of day and the guests seemed to really enjoy the atmosphere! I adored the beautiful bouquets lovingly fashioned by Teri’s Stems and Stuff Inc. and the bridesmaids dresses that were all unique and in different shades of grey! Jaelyn wore a stunning lace gown and incorporated special sentimental touches, such as her mom’s veil! The ceremony was short, sweet and heartfelt! I love listening to brides and grooms say their vows, it was clear just how much Jaelyn and Mark love each other! We spent the afternoon taking some photos on the couples land, and then headed to the Whitby Hall, which is conveniently only a short drive away from their home, for the reception! The Hall had beautiful decor touches including a chandelier, string lights and gorgeous centerpieces made by the couple! They had soft pink cupcakes with edible pearls and a simple wedding cake garnished with a pretty flower! Altogether it made for a warm and cozy atmosphere! The delicious dinner was catered by The White Bull, if you are ever looking for an excellent catering service I highly recommend this incredible company. They have catered many weddings that I have had the honour of photographing and the friendly staff always goes above and beyond to serve the guests and make sure they are satisfied! Guests danced the night away under the glow of the string lights, and we were lucky enough to sneak Jaelyn and Mark away for a few sunset photos! It was such a lovely day! Mr. and Mrs. Westerlund, I wish you and your beautiful daughter all of the joy and happiness in the world and I am excited for this new adventure you are about to embark on! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy this bigger sneak peek, as well as all of the rest of the photos of your amazing day!
