Teresa and brady- drayton valley wedding photographer

Anyone who knows me, knows I adore all things rustic and that I love nature and camping! Teresa and Brady’s wedding was all of these wonderful things combined and it could not have been more perfect or beautiful. The couple rented out a private campground at Buck Lake for their close family and friends to come enjoy the weekend and share their special day with them. It was low key and relaxed, but so much heart and thoughtfulness was put into their wedding. Teresa and Brady chose gorgeous and rich fall inspired colours and flowers, which suited the cool overcast weather perfectly! It reminded me of a cozy autumn day! The incredibly talented bride and groom made most of their own decor! I loved all of the handmade wooden signs that showed guests how to find the location and that decorated the grounds! When we arrived the tent was all set up for guests to mingle and and for the reception. The tables were decorated with burlap runners, pinecones, beautiful floral centrepieces and personalized wine bottles. The couple set up a dessert booth complete with cupcakes and an astonishingly adorable cake! The bride and groom made the cake topper, which suited them so perfectly! The bride made various preserves and jams for guests to take home as favours, and a lovely lemonade and iced tea stand was set up next to the bar! I was completely head over heels for this adorable decor and I think Teresa should consider being a wedding planner! Teresa’s 3 handsome grandsons were the ring bearers and melted everyones hearts as they came down thew aisle. Teresa and Brady had their daughters stand up for them and as they took their place in the ceremony, we all held our breath- it was the moment we had all been waiting for! I got a little choked up as I saw Teresa and her dad walk down the aisle. She looked so beautiful! My heart was filled with so much happiness as I witnessed the couple exchange their vows. They have such a deep love for each other and are truly a match made in heaven. After family photos the rain began to pour (You know what they say about rain on your wedding day!) but we waited it out for a few minutes, had something warm to drink, and thankfully it stopped so we could continue photos! There was a rustic little dock along the lake that I just loved and our friend Tyler (Brady’s son in law) was even kind enough to let us use his vintage boat for photos! When I saw it, I knew it would be perfect and I was so glad that Teresa and Brady were willing to go out onto the lake in a boat for me to get some different shots! For dinner, there was a pig roast, baked beans, fresh buns and salads! Once we were finished eating, some intense storm clouds began to roll in over the lake and the sun began to shine for a really dramatic and dark look! With scenery like that, I just had to sneak them away for a few minutes to get a few more shots of the two of them! After dinner, the bride and groom shared their first dance just outside the tent, and guests enjoyed a relaxed evening of dancing and visiting! Teresa and Brady, I am so incredibly blessed to have been a part of your wedding day and know that you will share many, many more years together filled with love and happiness! I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek!
